SAIGA CEO Russel Morena and the Institute\u2019s Education Development and Training manager, Sello Malatsi supported by the Education and Professional Development Committee (CPD) members, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Xolisa<\/span> <span class=\"s2\">Dlanga<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Spokazi<\/span> <span class=\"s2\">Jojo<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> visited as many as eight institutions of higher learning, including a trip down to Durban and Cape Town.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">The <\/span><span class=\"s2\">four <\/span><span class=\"s2\">went to the University of KwaZulu-Natal and ended their itinerary with visits to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">the <\/span><span class=\"s2\">University of Cape Town, and the University of Western Cape last month.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div University of Limpopo (UL), and the University of Stellenbosch.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Engagements with university heads also involved: <\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Accrediting university learning programmes in line with SAIGA designation.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Partnership on research towards SAIGA academic and technical and accredited research publications (SAJAAR &amp; Technical Magazine).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Introduction and establishment of SAIGA student movements at <\/span><span class=\"s2\">universities.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Providing free industry training sessions to third and post-graduate.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Facilitation of industry <\/span><span class=\"s2\">experts\u2019<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> lecture sessions <\/span><span class=\"s2\">for<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> university students.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Development of a post-graduate learning programme specifically for the public sector\/collaboration in offering the knowledge modules of the PSA qualification.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cWe need more and more professionals in the public sector particularly in Local Government to address issues that plague the sector such as AG-SA adverse audit findings, poor service delivery and corruption,\u201d said Malatsi.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cWe are therefore raising awareness about our designation with universities to create a sustainable pipeline for the designation, but importantly to contribute towards solving capacity challenges in the public
