Kgothatso Maoko is an experienced fraud practitioner with 10 years of experience in Audit, Risk, Investigations and Fraud risk management. Maoko is currently the head of Fraud and Forensics for MTN and is a PhD candidate. She has also worked for the Auditor General: Investigations Business Unit where she was involved in forensic audits, stakeholder management, administration management, fraud risk assessments, SCM reviews of high-risk contracts, and the COVID-19 special audit for SR3 purposes. Her involvement in State-owned businesses and her secondment to numerous international audits are some of her professional highlights. Maoko has an MPhil in risk management for fraud. She holds a research fellowship at the University of Pretoria#39;s Faculty of Economics and Management 's Department of Auditing, where she also obtained her MPhil. She serves as a council member for SAIGA and council representative for the Education committee and holds a fellow membership with the South Africa institute of government auditors.
